Employees of 25 companies that use OSM data or contribute to the overall OSM Ecosystem were interviewed. The goal was to see how the companies use the data, what motivates them to contribute value (data, tools, community-building, etc.) to the ecosystem, and the barriers they encountered.

OSM contributor for over 10 years on a personal level, and contributing with local communities. Currently a PhD student researching the role of commercial users in Open Data Ecosystems for the ODECO project, at the University of Camerino (Italy).
